Demand more from your Diagnosis

Zimmer Biomet’s diagnostic offerings are focused on developing novel biomarkers and tests to support diagnosis of a number of conditions related to joint pain, including commercially available Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) lateral flow and laboratory tests. With the addition of the diagnostics portfolio, Zimmer Biomet continues to drive their commitment to providing patients and surgeons with a complete continuum of care solution for joint pain.

Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI)

PJI is one of the most common complications following total joint arthroplasty, accounting for 25% of total knee arthroplasty failures and 16% of total hip arthroplasty failures1. Furthermore, PJI places major stress on the healthcare system including patients, payers and hospital systems. Making a timely and accurate diagnosis of PJI is key in the creation of an informed treatment plan and improving patient outcomes. Zimmer Biomet offers a number of solutions to support the diagnosis of PJI.
