Rapid Recovery at Fragility Fracture Network meeting 2013

29-31 August: Berlin, Germany

Also this year Biomet’s Rapid Recovery Fragility Hip Fracture programme is presented at the 2nd global Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) congress.

Topics at the meeting address the full pathway of care for fragility fracture patients. Its themes include perioperative care, surgical treatment, rehabilitation, secondary prevention, research and policy change. It is a great platform for all health care professionals who are involved in the treatment and care of fragile fracture patients.

To assist hospitals in optimising their fragility hip fracture pathways, Biomet has developed a programme that helps hospitals achieve:

  • Optimized clinical outcomes
  • Higher patient satisfaction
  • Optimized length of stay
  • Higher efficiency of care
  • Increased staff satisfaction

For our session at the FFN we have invited two experts from the University Medical Centre Groningen (the Netherlands) to share their experiences and results in relation with optimizing the treatment and care pathways of fragile fracture patients at their hospital:

Dr. K. Wendt, Trauma Surgeon
Dr. G. Izaks, General Internist and Geriatrician
